- There is rasism in this book a lot like there is today in everyday life.
Ex. A white man killed a black man and most people of the court didn't care.
- The violance is not unheard of in this book because it has happened many times.
Ex. O.J simpson case.
- This book is like the movie "42". it has to do with Jackie Robinson trying to accepted in the MLB, but most people in that day didn't like blacks.

Dylan Simpson chapters 5-6
his murder reminds me of murder of just about anyone. misunderstanding. or out of pure hate in emmits case. murders like that are much worse. they can truly cause a person to do un imaginable. and its a shame people can hate so much toward a person or race.
Anthony Morciglio, Getting away with murder: Part two chapters 3-4
The murder of Emmett Till reminds me of the Casey Anthony trial because the murderer got away in is that both instances. The differences in the trials is that the Emmett Till case involved racial sterotypical conduct. The Casey Anthony case involved a woman who killed her baby and got away. I believe in both cases the murderers got away only because they were white. "If you have to get on your knees and bow when a white person goes past, do it willingly." This quote by Mamie Till gave me the chills; it reminds me of the Jackie Robinson film 42, the way they treated him. In both instances Jackie Robinson and Emmett Till were courageous because they stood for what they believed in.
Kaitlyn Cain, Chapters 7
The murder of Emmett Till reminds me of any other case involving different races. Most of the cases involve racism. I personally see it all the time and this is now. Racism has been around for such a long time so you think it wouldn't be so common now but it's just as bad in some areas.
